After a succefull launch of Librettoworld.com I notice that I cannot find the time to post stuff on a regular base. So, I ‘m really looking for some help to make this website what it should be: the number one site voor all Libretto owners and other Toshiba Libretto enthousiasts.

Linux on the U100 (2)

Well, as I wrote in my earlier post, the first attempt to install Linux my U100 wasn’t a big succes. But, after some Googling, I learned that Xubuntu should run witj the Lilo bootloader instead of GRUPP.

So, after a quick download of the Xubuntu 8.04 Beta Alternate CD, I put the CD into the DVD slot of my U100 and started installing it the alternative way.

As an owner of two of the finest mini laptops around (U100 and CT 100) I found it very hard to get information about the possibilities, upgrades and special software and drivers for the Toshiba Libretto.Mainly information about more complex issues like installing Vista on a Libretto U100, replacing the harddisk of a U100 or installing Windows XP on a Libretto 100 CT is hard to found.
